Our Services for Young People

The Epicentre is a not-for-profit, charitable organisation and leaders in building communities and addressing social issues.

Young People’s Services

We support and empower young people aged 12 to 18 from their very first connection with the service.
We provide co-ordinated wrap around support and services for young people and their families using case management and skills development framework.

Actually I Can

‘Actually I Can’ provides coping and wellness strategies including support to assist young people to make positive changes in the way they view themselves and their lives.

Boyz to Men

Boyz to Men is a mentoring program in partnerships with the San Remo Community Men’s Shed and Northlakes High School.

Case Management

Case management - Working with young people to identify goals and establishing a self-directed plan to maintain key areas of function. The support provided is tailored to the needs and wants of the young person.

Drawing Club

The drawing group meet weekly and this is run in partnership with teachers from Northlakes High School. Young people come and share their knowledge and catch up with one another.
Thursdays at 2.30 with Mark.

Drumbeat

Drumbeat incorporates hand drumming behavioural therapeutic principals and cognitive and dialectical elements to achieve positive outcomes.

First Aid

First aid covers the steps taken to help an injured or sick person in the first minutes after an illness or injury.

Youth Health GP Clinic

Free youth health GP Clinic providing general medical services including sexual health.

Headspace

headspace outreach at LINKS provides mental health support and assessment for ongoing support and intake into headspace

Juvenile Justice Conferencing

A youth justice conference is a voluntary meeting between a child offender, the victim and other people affected by their crime with the help of an independent mediator. Youth workers are available to support the young person.

Love Bites

Love Bites is a Respectful Relationships Education Program for young people aged 15-17 years. It consists of two interactive workshops: one on Relationship Violence, and one on Sex and Relationships, followed by creative workshops.

Reality Check

Reality Check is an early intervention school based program which helps prevent young people from disengaging from school early.

School Skills Programs

Working in schools with young people to help them address issues such as bullying, attendance at school, self-esteem and healthy relationships. Young people are provided with age appropriate information to help assist them in making informed life choices.

Streetgym

Street Gym is a free after school program for young people aged 12-18 years.
Young people enjoy a safe, social environment where they participate in various activities with experienced youth workers.

Wear It Purple Day

Wear It Purple Day strives to foster supportive safe empowering and inclusive environments for LGBTQIA+ young people.

White Card

A White Card is required for anyone wanting to work in construction.
