Alcoholic Anonymous
Have a problem with alcohol? There is a solution.
A.A. has a simple program that works. It’s based on one alcoholic helping another.

Disaster Recovery
Over the past two years we have worked with our local communities offering support and material aid in their efforts to recover from Bushfire, Floods and the Covid-19 Pandemic.
We have door-knocked, run small local events, offered support and referrals to assist the recovery of children, individuals and families.
Financial Counselling
Financial counsellors provide information, advice and advocacy to people in financial difficulty. Financial counsellors work with people who are in debt or are not able to meet their ongoing expenses.

Gambling Counselling
We see the immense hardship faced by people and families affected by problem gambling. If you’re considering taking that first courageous step out of problem gambling, we are here to help you on your journey.

Healthy Jarjums
We like to partner with organisations and allow the community easy access to services and supports, we held the Healthy Jarjums program in partnership with Nunyara Aboriginal Health Unit and the Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG)
This was an opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families who had children starting kindergarten to have various checks done before starting big school.
These included speech, dental, hearing, development and nutritional information.
Men’s Free Health Check
The MERV van visited our centre to give free health checks which included, blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol.
NAIDOC Week
At San Remo Neighbourhood Centre each year we celebrate NAIDOC week with the local schools and partnering organisations
NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
It is held each year during the first week of July and is an important annual event where everyone’s invited to join in the celebrations. This year were flooded out so we played NAIDOC Trivia and did dreamtime stories and activities with the OOSH children.
Narcotics Anonymous
Narcotics Anonymous is a fellowship for whom drugs had become a major problem. Recovering addicts meet regularly to help each other stay clean.

National Reconciliation Week
National Reconciliation week is celebrated each year and is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
